It is possible to add background music, voice narration, and sound effects as well as rearrange sequence, adjust the volume and duration of audio clips. There are two ways to add music. Either, add a track from an audio CD or an AIFF or MP3 audio file.

Adding Sound from an Audio CD
1. Insert an audio CD into your CD-ROM drive.

3. Move the playhead in the timeline viewer to where you want the music track to begin.

4. Choose File and go to Import.

5. Select the CD and the desired song and click Open.

6. The song will import into iMovie wherever the playhead has been placed.
