Portable Microphone Preamp

"I've been using the M-Audio Classroom Studio Bundle for podcasting. The problem is that the condensor mic's in that kit require a preamp and "phantom power", and the included preamp is a bit bulky, especially if I'm traveling or just want to podcast from a different location. Is there a more portable solution for plugging this kind of equipment directly into my computer?"

There are many different ways to hook up a microphone to a PC or a Mac but for a simple one piece solution look no further than the Micport Pro. While it is a little pricey, it offers an easy and portable solution for podcasting and recording which is perfect laptops.
