Description

The Sparky Awards is an international student video contest, and Penn State
will be one of the institutions hosting this year. That means that all
students are eligible to submit, and win local prizes in addition to the
overall Sparky Award prizes. The theme for the contest is "The Value of
Information Sharing". Videos should be no more than 2 minutes long, and
submission are due December 6th, 2009.

This workshop will get you started with everything you need to know to create a
winning entry, whether you're working on a project for a class, or on your
own. This one hour session will include:

- how to tell a story (in under 2 minutes)
- basics of video capture and editing
- finding free (and good) audio and video resources online
- publishing and submitting your video to ensure best quality
- 1-on-1 to help develop your project ideas
