During the fall semester, the Digital Commons Editing Studio (T-108) is open Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, and 10am-4pm on weekends. During these times you are free to walk in and utilize the equipment and software. Should you wish staff assistance, you can visit us Monday-Thursday, Noon-1pm or 3pm-6pm, or Friday, Noon-1pm. At other times you will need to make an appointment by emailing wbitsupport@psu.edu. Assistance can also be had by calling the Digital Commons support team at University Park. There is no assistance available on weekends.
The Digital Commons Recording Studio (T-107) is open only when staff is available in the Editing Studio, due to the nature of the equipment.
On March 16, Digital Commons Pattee will open for student use, joining a similar facility in the Pollock Building to offer the latest equipment and technology service for creating a wide-array of multimedia projects. The new facility is located in 213 Pattee Library, west, (next to the Music and Media Center). Students may enter through Pattee Library, west, proceed on ground level down the corridor to the opposite side of the building and take the elevator to the second floor.
Digital Commons is an ITS (Information Technology Services) initiative to provide support for digital media production for teaching and learning at University Park and Penn State campus across the Commonwealth. Digital Commons currently offers 20 facilities designed to support media production and open to all faculty and students.
The Digital Commons studio at Berks opened in January 2009. Stop in to check out the studio, and bookmark this page so you can keep up to date on news at the Berks Digital Commons.
In order to improve the visibility of the I.T. Help Desk and provide additional staffing for the Digital Commons, the Help Desk has been moved from S-7 to T-108 (the Digital Commons Editing Studio). The phone number has not changed (570-675-9140). The Help Desk is open 8am-9pm Monday-Tuesday, and 8am-5pm Wednesday-Friday.

Staff will be on hand to assist you Monday-Tuesday noon-9pm, and Wednesday-Friday noon-5pm. On weekday mornings, assistance can be had by contacting the Digital Commons support team at University Park. There is no staffing on weekends.

ETS is thrilled to announce that this Summer Ellysa Stern Cahoy, Assistant Head of Library Learning Services in the Penn State University Libraries, will join ETS as a Faculty Fellow. During her time as a Fellow, she will be exploring the topic of digital literacy acquisition in-depth and developing instructional solutions in collaboration with TLT/ETS staff expert in online content creation, including Digital Commons staff. We are all thrilled to have her spending time with us this Summer and we know it will lead to some very interesting outcomes.
