DC Workshop Series

Overview

The Digital Commons Workshops are a series of small-group (~4 people) hands-on training sessions designed to give you a brief introduction to various digital media concepts and software packages. The sessions are short (around an hour) so you can easily fit them into your day. They are intended to provide everything you need to get started on whatever topic we're teaching during that session, including instruction on software usage basics, overview of concepts, and since the groups are so small, lots of interaction with the trainer. Hand-outs and web-based resources will help you continue learning on your own after you're done the session.

Some of the topics we'll cover include:
  • Getting Started with iMovie
  • Getting Started with Final Cut Pro
  • Getting Started with iDVD
  • Getting Started with GarageBand
  • Lighting and Green Screen Fundamentals
